The shrinking head illusion.

Supposedly, this optical illusion will tell you if you are left- or right-brained. She spins clockwise for me, which implies that I am right-brained. I write with my left hand, so I already had this suspicion, although I bat, throw, and eat with my right. If you're having trouble getting her to switch directions, follow kottke's advice, but I must warn you that I feel like jumping away from my computer every time I get her to do so.

Two of documentarian Errol Morris's Quaker commercials filmed in an actual Ames Room (the two at the bottom). An Ames Room is an optical illusion constructed so that objects near the front are perceived as gigantic and those near the back as miniature. Hey, Ricky Jay seems to like 'em.

A neat optical illusion called Mr. Angry and Mr. Smiles (you may need to scroll down). When viewed close up, you see one pair of faces, but when you look at the image from far enough, the faces swap. It vaguely reminds me of the spy glasses I worked on at Mitsubishi Electric.
