Cheney's Got A Gin?

Just to spread out the meme even more: the online buzz is that the reason the Cheney gun accident was withheld from a police investigation and the public is that there was something to hide. Theories abound, from the involvement of alcohol to improper relationships.

For some reason, the media has decided that Scooter Libby is Cheney's assistant, even though he was paid as Bush's assistant. And in other Plamegate news, it turns out that Bob Woodward is involved in a very unexpected way. (10) #

US News is reporting that rumors have been flying all over Washington that Cheney might resign as a result of the Plame investigations, and that Bush would elevate Condaleeza Rice in his stead. I don't really believe it, but I have this conspiracy fantasy that that's been their plan all along -- get Rice to be Veep, then have Bush resign. President Rice wouldn't have any problems winning the 2008 election, right? (via political wire) (4) #
