Siskel & Ebert & Roeper review archive

Starting tomorrow, over 1,000 episodes of Siskel & Ebert / Ebert & Roeper -- representing more than 5,000 movies -- will be available for free at www.atthemoviestv.com. I'm looking forward to watching when Siskel and Ebert disagreed on Apocalypse Now, and the Scorsese "Best Films of the 1990's" episode. (Scorsese loves Bottle Rocket!) (thx, jd)

I'm going right to the show where Siskel refused to believe that Ebert could identify the color of Dots candy by taste. So to prove it, Ebert did a blindfolded taste test on air.

I can't find Apocalypse Now. When I search for it I get what looks like the proper link but is Apocalypse Now Redux. Any luck?

Same here. They say that more is coming soon, so perhaps it's in the queue.

Man, Ebert's pretty generous to 'Gigli'. By "pretty," I mean "very." By "generous," I mean "wrong."

Thanks for this link, CM. For reasons I can't put my finger on, I absolutely love watching people I don't know argue about movies I don't really care about. Seriously.

On the other hand, the discussions of movies I do like are fascinating -- it seems like Ebert's head is about to explode talking about David Lynch, and the Cronenberg discussions are fun, too.

Now, off to kill Amanda Congdon and her project of or relating to members. Heh.
