The next Democratic SCOTUS nomination
An interesting speculative shortlist of who would might be nominated next for the Supreme Court if a Democratic candidate wins the presidency in 2008. Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick, Harvard Law School Dean Elena Kagan, and even Barack Obama makes the list.

what, no former democratic solicitors general?
Actually, Seth Waxman *is* on the list. Not on the first tier list, but on the full list in the PDF.
I guess they figured Walter Dellinger was too old, huh?
I would not be interested in a liberal version of Scalia. I like to think we could do better.
Scalia is generally very smart and pretty funny. He's not a terrible person to emulate. If his views on moral-stuff weren't determined by his Catholicism, he'd be decent. His opinion in Kyllo was awesome! He just needs to get to know a few gay abortionists and he'll be ok.
That's funny Ingen I could give you a Ingen cold air intake for that great joke.. LOL... Seriously, Scalia good be the next on the line...
