Movie for HBO's Rome in the works

A movie to wrap up the two seasons of HBO's Rome is apparently in the works.

[Series creator Bruno] Heller would not discuss plot ideas, but the original series outline for "Rome" next called for the hedonistic Roman leaders to deal with the rise of a certain problematic rabbi...

Ray Stevenson, who played the Shaftoe-esque character Pullo, is looking forward to reprising his role. This is by no means guaranteed to happen, but I'm excited. (via Roman Times)

Oh Hell Yes. Now if only they could do that for Deadwood too.

Rome was rushing through things toward the end of the second season. You could sense that the writers and actors were a little deflated. I hope that a movie would reinvigorate some of the energy, but I'm a little skeptical that making a movie is a good idea. Is this movie for HBO or for theaters?

He says theaters. He also says that he telescoped his planned seasons 3 and 4 into the end of season 2, which explains the rushed feel.
