I actually just saw a Q & A with him this week in which he flatly dismissed the idea of running for president. Who can blame him? I wouldn't trade a job that's about learning new things for a job that's about who you know and whose money you're taking.

Running for President isn't the job, *being* the President is. Once you're Prez, assuming you're apathetic about a second term, whose money you're taking is irrelevant. And talk about learning new things -- you'll get to read the Big Book of Government Secrets!

Also, I wouldn't want Lessig to be president anyway. But a Congressman? That I think would be a good thing.

Yeah, I was thinking more of Congress when I said that. My mistake. I'm not sure how best to describe the job of president in one sentence, but I wouldn't want that one either.
