Back from vacation

I'm back from my vacation, which means that you should see some action here again. I spent some time in L.A., San Francisco, and the coast in between, catching only two movies (The Fountain and Casino Royale) and reading a mere 10% of Pynchon's latest.

Frankly, I'm a little disappointed with Sacha Baron Cohen's performance, only posting twice. I'll try to find a better guest blogger next time.

How was the Fountain?

Good, but despite its 1000 year timeline, I found it to be a rather small film, both in theme and scope. That's not a bad thing, but it did go against my expectations. I might say more later.

Good to see you're back from distant travels. I'd love to catch up with you at some point.

Sure, SmilingDork. Our friend flea got into a car accident today (not her fault and she's mostly OK) and is now crutches-laden, but we should be able to catch up soon.
