Oprah picks The Road
Oprah has picked The Road, Cormac McCarthy's post-apocalyptic novel, as her latest book club choice. This is probably the first Oprah book selected that involves eating babies. My thoughts on the book are here. (thx, sh)

Do you think this book club selection is the first step in the Oprah's slow push to acknowledge that the key to her enormous success is, in fact, the eating of babies?

it would be great if she could do a whole series on baby-eating books but after this and swift what is there?
