Language Log

Prescriptivists take note: Language Log is a fun blog about language, specializing in debunking myths and making fun of those who misuse it.

loads of really great linguists and computational linguists from penn and elsewhere (but mostly, it seems, penn) contribute to this. the followup to a times article on PARC technology (sent to me by the flower-selling father of a reader of this blog) caught my eye, as it involves an extensive blog debate between fernando pereira, chair of CS at penn and a big shot in NLP, and matt hurst, a data mining guy.
