"The tragic squandering of Jack Black's awesomeness." I think the sentiment is right, but I disagree with the author that Black's SNL birthday song sketch is one of his finest. I'd probably go with Mr. Show's "Joke: The Musical" or "Jeepers Creepers" sketches.

Wow. That's quite a long treatise on Jack Black. Is this the same
writer who hates Zach Braff? Or the same one that loved Entourage?

I agree about the squandering, but it seems to be self-squandering. He can choose not to do cliched romantic comedies.
