That was how I wanted to costume a version of Jesus Christ Superstar... every character would wear a white shirt with their name/title printed across it in big black block letters. I still think that's a good idea.

i once played for a junior high school version of Godspell, where all of the characters had their names printed on a white t-shirt.

the character of Martin Luther had "MLK Jr." written on his shirt.
