Kathy Augustine's death ruled as a murder

Five weeks before the primary election where state controller Kathy Augustine was running for state Treasurer -- even though she had been impeached for violating state ethics laws a few years earlier -- she suddenly died of a massive heart attack, under mysterious circumstances. Now, based on the coroner's toxicology report, her death has been ruled a murder and her husband has been arrested as the prime suspect. Politics in Nevada almost rivals that of the Roman Empire. The drama continues.

Someone should make a TV show using plotlines from ancient Roman politics and transcribe them into modern day Las Vegas politics. New Yorker? Get writing.

of course, you are unaware that the mall at Caesar's Palace is called the Forum Shops. So: "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Caesar's Forum Shops."

Again, you missed a more obvious Vegas reference. The Democratic nominee for governor right now is UNLV professor Dina Titus. So: "Dina Titus Andronicus."

Well, one of us doesn't live in Vegas... you'll have to give me some leeway.

I'd watch Dina Titus Andronicus.

I have this internet friend who covers politics in the US Virgin Islands. Her stories about the behavior of politicians there make Vegas look REALLY professional by comparison.
