it looks like tom hanks' boston accent rubbed off on leo. and what's with the awful cover of comfortably numb?
It's Pink Floyd live with Van Morrison doing the vocals.
Yeah, I was wondering what was up with that song. Thanks for the info.
Okay, I am a Scorsese sucker, but I am excited for that. Plus, I liked the Flyod music at the end. The oddest was not Leo's accent, which was fine, but Nicholsen. Was he trying to have an accent? I detected a bit of something, but I was not sure what it was.
yeah, i really don't like van morrison on that. he sounds countrified or something.
The original movie was pretty bad-ass; should be hard to top --especially if the hokey soundtrack is any indication. On the other hand, the script is proven.
meh. could be good. leo's accent didn't sound too awful, but damon, wahlberg and (to a lesser extent) sheen will put the rest to shame.
I heard from a friend who works on the business side of the film that there were 3 versions of the trailer and in his opinion they chose the worst of the three. I still think it's a pretty solid trailer and makes me really want to see this film, even though I thought Infernal Affairs did not need a remake. Can't knock Scorsese for using Gimme Shelter and the use of Pink Floyd is fitting for the theme of the film, even if the version they used was mixed a little high and has different vocals. Where can one find this version of Comfortably Numb?
Wait, so the cops knew internal affairs was setting them up?
I thought that looked potentially good, and I haven't seen the original.
"Where can one find this version of Comfortably Numb?"
Roger Waters in the late 80's held a concert in Berlin in dedication to the falling of the Berlin Wall. His concert consisted of LOTS of well known and respected artists (at that time) covering songs off "The Wall" album. Comfortably Numb was covered by The Band w/ Van Morrison. You might find the answer you were looking for by renting and/or buying the compilation.
Their is another song on the shorter trailer. I have heard Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones and Confortably Numb by Pink Floyd. It is neither of those songs. It has a strong beat and it flows with the trailer. If anyone knows the song I am talking about please post it on here.
The other song in the trailer is "I'm shipping up to Boston" by Dropkick Murphy's
I have heard the song "I'm shipping up to Boston" and that is not it. The song in the trailer has no singing in the song. It is just a really hard beat. Pleas post if you know what i am talking about.
I saw it tonight. I liked it.
The song is on

Tyler i know exactly waht song your thinkin about..i have been trying to find it for like 10 days now. I looked on The Departed Score soundtrack and it wasnt on there either
hey you guys are having the same problem as me.....the fast paced one with the irish music in the background one?? is that it??
i've been trying to find it!!! any news???
I am also looking for that hard beat that plays. It's the second last song in the trailer. Plays after the dropkick murphy's and before comfortably numb.
