Anti-Mormon Cartoon
Here's a cheesy cartoon supposedly put out by anti-Mormon Christians explaining the core beliefs of the LDS church. Somewhat exaggerated, methinks. Still, I like how they insist on using the term "the Mormon Jesus." (thx, gropo)
<<< Trailer for Children of Men Comic Con: First Impressions >>>

fascinating that it sounds a hell of a lot like scientology. i always lump the two together, but file mormonism under "idiotic religionism" and scientology under "evil money-hungry cultism." at least both can be featured on the Sci-Fi channel. since i'm such a nerd, you'd think i'd love these wacky cults!
also: endless celestial sex!
also, please take special note of the "he came down from earth to have sex with the virgin mary" section. it's fanfuckingtastic!
It seems clear to me from the video that Elohim has the biggest dick in the universe.
Mormon Jesus could kick non-Mormon Jesus's ass.
mormons are polytheistic poligamists who worship a false prophet (J.Smith) and dont believe the bible is fully trustworthy(when it is the word of GOD) (not GODs)they should find themseleves a REAL religion
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) and I can tell you that this cartoon is whacked out. Sure there are a few things that are true but almost every outrageous thing said in the cartoon is a lie. It has been my experience if you want reliable information about a religion, it is best to ask a member of that religion. If you do have any questions feel free to ask me.
hay we moromons are normal people no one in the church is suposed to mary multiple times. we do believe in the bible and i would like for fat ruby to keep her racist ideas to her self and not spread lies about mormons. we belive in 1 god and shut up you turd
this is what we belive
We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son,
Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
Mormonism is the original lie repackaged. Satan, as the snake in the garden told Adam and Eve if they ate the apple they would become like God, gods. Mormonism, LDS, whatever name it's called at the time to fit, just like the changes made to the book of mormon over the years to be politically correct, is the original sin/lie repackaged, that we will become gods. There is only one God, the one that loved us so much he came down here as Jesus became one of us and saved us by paying the penalty for our sins. If we believe in Him we'll become his heirs and be taken care of forever, but we will NOT become gods or God himself.
Mormons, Are you going to tell us that Joseph Smith looking into a hat is not a strange way to come up with a religion? I understand that Mrs. Brigham Young was very unhappy about the multiple wives thing and believed he just wanted to screw around. Also, if Brigham and Joseph were such prophets, how come you dropped the whole multiple wife thing? Were they WRONG? If so, what else were they wrong about?
I think you people need to calm down. Whether or not Mormons believe in space alien Jesus and that we can become gods, which personally I find the coolest part of all that stuff, we need to address that they think black people are abstainers from the war of good and evil. Oh yeah, and let he who believes in nothing (not even that there is no god, which is a belief) cast the first stone. There are many ways to pick apart every religion and word it like the people who believe in it are insane, or to use one religion to disprove another (which is like using a word in its own definition). Gnosticism believes that the snake is the good guy, trying to free us from the prison of flesh YHWH has placed us in. This is not my religion. But saying that sentence doesn't invalidate your beliefs. So saying that Mormonism is the Lie repackaged is kind of silly. Finally, the angel was Moroni, so why aren't they Morons? My friend was kicked out of school for asking that question.
"we need to address that they think black people are abstainers from the war of good and evil."
This is a very hurtful teaching that evolved from the speculation of an early church leader (Orson Pratt) after the death of Joseph Smith. To their credit the LDS church has admitted that this teaching was wrong and stopped teaching it 30 or so years ago. I still think they need to publicly apologize and formally renounce the teaching.
However, they are not unique in their racist past. Every christian religion has had racist policies and leaders. Both mainstream christians and mormons have evoloved past this cultural biggotry.
Wow, you believe all that? That's crazy.
you know this cartoon doesnt even have to be remotely true...even though most is...the scariest thing is that we almost had one of these whack jobs running for president...whoever thinks that the baptism of the deceased is right deserves to be ridiculed to the fullest
I challenge any Mormom out there to prove that the great apostasty of the Catholic Church ever occured! You cannot find it anywhere in the Bible or any other credible literature. Even the Romans, Jews, and other enemies of the Church seek to discredit it by pointing out this so called "total apostasy" It never happened back in the day and there sure is no new evidence that has come up since. You Mormoms believe that this great corruption began after the death of the last Apostle (about 100 A.D)Christ's Church completely disappeared from the earth until it was restored by Joseph Smith in 1829.
Canon of the Bible(or list of inspired books)of the Bible was officially determined by the Catholic Church around the year 400 A.D. You Mormoms accept this as a matter of Faith, the canon of the New Testament exactly as the Catholic Church defined it. Jesus warns us in the Bible that there will be many false prophets and Sects leading people to Hell. Joseph Smith is and always will remain a False Prophet no matter how the Mormoms try to Glorify him. The biggest false prediction made by Joseph Smith was that he was living in the last days before Christ would return, and prophesied Jesus Second coming for 1890, but he died in 1844, without witnessing the non-fulfillment of his prophecy. Also as a false prophet Smith introduced 125 new verses only in the New Testament, and changed 1,475 verses in the Bible. Also The Book of Mormom was plagiarism of "Manuscript Story" by Solomon Spaulding in 1816. That's why it took Smith four years to write the book behind closed curtains. Lastly, Mormoms are not Christians as they want everyone to believe. Article 1 of their Articls of Faith says, "We believe in God, the eternal Father, and in his son, Jesus Christ and in the Holy Spirit"...but they fail to tell you they are 3 gods! True Christians believe in only one God as the Trinity. Mormoms also believe in false gods and multiple gods! not Christian beliefs. This violates the First Commandment. And They also violate the Sixth Commandment "You shall not commit adultery." They do this to this day in their secret polygamy marriages. In the state of Utah it is estimated that there is about 30,000 polygamist marriages and if they don't continue to do so then their in violation of the teachings of their prophet Joseph Smith. And if the rules have changed since their third president then it just further proves what a false prophet Joseph Smith truely was and forever will be.
There are Mormons who claim that it has nothing to do with their religion; I, out of the goodness of my heart, have made a video that superimposes references from Mormon lesson manuals on the video.
Admittedly, some things were exaggerated--but if you look in Mormon lesson manuals, nothing is made up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_BsPi857dA
The bits about becoming Gods and 'endless celestial sex' can be read in D&C 132.
The God was once a man thing can be retrieved from the King Follet Discourse.
God is a polygamist, according to Journal of Discourses Vol 1:50. "When the Virgin Mary conceived the child Jesus, the Father had begotten him in his own likeness. . . . after the same manner as the tabernacles of Cain, Abel, and the rest of the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve."
Mormons tend to accept whatever parts of whatever scripture they want, and reject with whatever doesn't agree with their narrow world view.
Isn't that true of all religions?
