Trailer for Children of Men
Trailer for Children of Men, a science-fiction film by Alfonso Cuaron, the director of Y Tu Mama Tambien. It takes an idea I first saw in Kurt Vonnegut's Galapagos, and takes it somewhere else.

Is that an orchestral version of "Gimme Shelter" in the background? Excellent blog, BTW.
That's a Sigur Ros song at the end.
why why why why WHY do movie trailers have to outline the entire fucking movie!?
anyway, that doesn't look half-bad. i think it's hilarious how in the midst of a superserious trailer about death and destruction and a dystopian future, people say lines like "women can't make babies" and also there's a credit for "harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban."
I read a book about the end of human children once called Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clark. It has devil shaped aliens who come to Earth to watch as a generation of humans suddenly joins an intergallactic hive mind and leaves the planet. No more children are born and society, as evidently detailed in this movie, falls apart. Without a societal future, people take a why bother attitude. It's interesting.
WTF!? Is this for real? like, 'WOMEN can't have babies?" why is it women's fault?? And, yeah, great, like the only heroic thing a girl can do is get knocked up, and she STILL needs a big strong man to come save her.
This has to be some kind of joke.
I have never heard about the book before but in Poland where I live you can watch this film in movies already. It is really amazing and I believe that the trailer is really ok. Thanks to it I went to the movies. So, I really recomend this movie to everyone. It is real masterpiece, especialy in the world where so many innocent children are killed.
Yeah, that is a remake of "Gimme Shelter", does anyone know who's the artist? Well, I've seen this trailer about six times, it's filled with very interesting things like the news ticker on the tv, and all of the newspaper articles on the walls...
very exciting stuff.
