Ann Coulter: Deadhead
Fact: Ann Coulter is a major league Deadhead, estimating that she went to around 67 Grateful Dead shows. She also states that she's never smoked marijuana. How can a huge fan of the Dead be so adamantly in support of marijuana prohibition? (via as)

In a weird way, I sort of see being a Deadhead as being conservative. I guess because I associate their music with very white Simsbury. Not saying that dead fans don't smoke pot, but I just associate their music with my boring stodgy semi-upper-middle-class adopted hometown.
That's a good point (and she *is* from New Canaan), but how many white cap Simsburians went to over 60 shows? I'd also say the Deadheads are more libertarian than conservative, but Ann Coulter is clearly not a libertarian (at least her public persona isn't).
My sister and I used to wonder how many Deadheads there were in the more working class towns. Did being a fan go hand with having an older brother or sister away at college, or spending some time pursuing skiing and other leisure activities of the wealthy?
i wish the title of this post was just "Ann Coulter: Dead."
