This thing has far too many recent videos, but I am glad I went throught it as I found the best video ever: Village People's "Sex Over the Phone". Did this ever make MTV? Was the appearance of women in this video as fucking weird as it is now. Trust me, you all need to watch this thing.
That was an awesome video. (It's on page 10, btw.)
i maintain that one of the awesomest videos i've ever seen is the chemical brothers' "let forever be." i don't know if it made pitchfork's trendy list, but it's a fantastic, compelling video that i highly recommend watching...
they specifically mention that they wouldn't choose director label videos (of which "let forever be" is, being on the gondry dvd).
um, also, odenkirk kicks some serious ass as a Kiss-themed teacher at the school of rock in Yo La Tengo's Sugarcube (also p 10)
what does that mean, "director label videos?" they won't choose videos that list a director? are they retards? oh wait, yeah. they are.
i'm surprised that wasn't worked into an actual episode of mr. show at some point. the video was made while it was still on, right? it would have fit seamlessly
