Corrupt elected judges? Impossible...

Electing judges is a terrible idea. There are some interesting studies that demonstrate judges who face re-election are more pro-death penalty too. Political pandering and corruption. What a great system.

Dear Sir or Madam

I am looking to study law in college in New York, and have recently been given a practice essay to work on.

This essay asks about why corruption is so rife within the American legal system, who the worst judges are and what possible remedies there are to getting rid of the 'cancer' of corruption.

If you have any hints/tips/advice on this, could you please email me back as soon as you possibly can.

Many Thanks.

John.
