to be fair, greenwald fumbled early, and the most sarcastic barbs by colbert, like "republicans are in power, they should be able to do whatever they want" come late. But yeah, that's still deliciously wonderful.

It's unfortunate that Greenwald doesn't have a great sense of humor, but here's to be fair: Colbert's a genius, and of course who wouldn't want to rise to the occaision, but then, how many people really could? In fact, I haven't seen too many episodes- who has really met Colbert, or even raised him one, on that show so far? Anybody?

all i'm saying is, if you take the interview out of context and only listen to the first few minutes, it doesn't sound all that much different from what the delay people think it is. and since they took it out of context and are maybe figuring on it only being watched for a few minutes, mission accomplished. i stand by "to be fair" as in to be fair to the people who thought it would be a good idea to use that clip as a way of supporting delay and attacking his attacker, it's not quite as bad as it could have been, since there aren't any powerful zings from colbert for the first 70% of the clip and greenwald is semi-incoherent when he tries to make points.

i'm actually going to sugarland this weekend...maybe i'll get to ask some real live texans what they think of delay...and colbert!
