Sicily on Google Maps

Italy and Sicily now have their roads marked on Google Maps. The link goes to a map centered on Pezzolo, the village where my parents grew up. (thx, jmay)

It's weird that when you zoom in to the second closest setting, you can still see the aerial photo, but you can no longer see the roads. I wonder what's up with that.

That's cool. It kinda freaks me out that I can actually clearly see the last house my parents lived in with that shit.

it freaks me out that a remote town in sicily is covered better by satellite than simsbury.

double true.

why? it's probably a lot more interesting than Simsbury.

Anyway, the New Haven area, as I indicated, is quite clearly covered. The town my parents now live in, beside New Milford near the NY border, has very low resolution.

they don't update these maps often enough. i've seen construction sites on buildings in boston that have been finished for almost 2 years.
