Teaser for The Simpsons Movie

Teaser for The Simpsons Movie. My prediction: it won't be as good as the South Park movie.

that movie is slated for july 2007 - 15 months away, and the Ny'er will have us believe it's been in production for far longer than that. What is taking so long? They make enough (shoddy) content for 7+ movies every year with seemingly no problem. not that i have any particular desire to see this movie.

wow, bold prediction, crazymonk. say, would you also say that the holocaust was "a bad thing?"

I predict that George Bush won't be elected president next election.

Who is writing this? 'Cause the Simpsons is ass these days, so the movie will be two hours of ass (with a few laughs) if it is the present writers. I also wonder, since a normal episode feels like it lasts a lifetime, what with all the different plot directions, how long will the film feel? Will you be able to remember what the plot was about an hour later? I can't wait to see the celebrity guests they get for it.

even the classic writers have been pumping out shit for years. swartzwelder? jean and reiss? sadly, they ran out of good ideas a long, long time ago. it's all been running on fumes since 98.

If Ian Maxtone Graham is involved with the movie, then all hope is lost.

From AICN:

"This morning, an Austrailian publication called The Melbourne Age shed some light on who will be handling these monumental duties. According to The Melbourne Age, THE SIMPSONS MOVIE is written by Matt Groening, James L. Brooks, Al Jean, Brian Scully, Ian Maxtone-Graham, George Meyer, David Mirkin, Mike Reiss, Matt Selman, John Swartzwelder, and Jon Vitti (thanks to Skel for pointing us to this article).
In related news, Reuters is reporting that David Silverman, co-director of Pixar's MONSTERS, INC., director of many SIMPSONS episodes (and now the series' "supervising director") is helming the movie.
A Fox press release indicates that Albert Brooks, Minnie Driver and Erin Brockovich will be guest voices in the film."

boy, of course they put jim brooks' name up there in the writing credits, but how unbelievably misleading to the non-simpsons-crazy hollywood movie industry. a jim brooks script usually means the movie is good.

forgive me in advance for not minding my own business...
"wow, bold prediction, crazymonk. say, would you also say that the holocaust was “a bad thing?”"
-maybe I'm slow, but, um, what? If it's about stating the obvious, strange choice of parallel.
