What happened to Larry Wachowski?

that article makes me think the fallout with chong (tank) was about more than just money. Inappropriate? Sure, it's a guy's private life, but I think a major movie director counts as a public personality. Funny, though, that a fortune 500 CEO doesn't necessarily count.

I don't think movie directors count as public personalities. For one thing, I didn't even know who Larry Wachowski was until 10 minutes ago.

yes, but i bet you think editors of major daily newspapers count as public personalities, so it's all relative

It was an old Conan O'Brien bit where they would show a scene with something innapropriate, then they would cut to an 80's heavy metal rocker would play a big guitar solo and then yell "inappropriate" in a thick british accent.

It was one of the funniest things I've seen Conan do.

From wikipedia: "Clive Clemmons Inappropriate Response Channel - supposedly a new cable TV channel, short skits ending with wildly inappropriate comments are punctuated by heavy-metal guitarist Clemmons playing a blistering solo and screaming the word "Inappropriate"."

Aha! Now it makes sense. I couldn't tell he was yelling the word inappropriate.

i like what a pan it is of the crappy matrix sequels, which rival the first 2 highlander sequels as far as horrible, regrettable imitations of a good first movie.

Oh, I think I might've enjoyed the sequels more if they were imitations of the first movie. Instead, the Wachowski's tried to go into entirely different territory, ignoring expectations and creating the pseudo-intellectual unentertaining feel of a poorly run philosophy seminar.

Are there well run philosophy seminars?

your mom's a well run philosophy seminar.
