The LA Times on Vegas's newspaper situation
The LA Times on the combination of the Las Vegas Review-Journal with the (inserted) Las Vegas Sun. I wrote about this way back in early October.

I think this arrangement is net-beneficial for Vegans. Not only do you keep the competition between the papers, but the Sun's focus on analysis and news features will add a lot of depth to the local paper.
Yeah, it hasn't been terrible, but the Sun could use a few more good writers, I think.
