Now that brightened my day. However, I'm convinced that it's a lost monty python skit and not a real filmed experiment. That said, whether in jest or earnest, a man with a rifle climbing a tree to feed the squirrels is just deeply satisfying.

Athanasius Kircher is a weird guy - there's an entire exhibit dedicated to him at the museum of jurassic technology, and there were some astrological devices of his at the museum of science in florence.
