Moving Rocks of Racetrack Playa

That's a pretty cool article. It surprises me that there have not been religious groups to comment on the meaning of this movement (although maybe the article does not mention it)... When I first began to read the article, it reminded me of the Nazca Lines in Peru and the mystery surrounding them.

It also reminded me of some dreadfully boring
Gus Van Sant movie I once saw called Gerry starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck that took place in Death Valley. It looks like
a cool place-- I have a friend who worked
there for a while, but she now works for
Sequoia-Kings Canyon NP.

That's funny, I was reading about Gerry earlier today. I've never seen it, but I really liked Elephant, another one of his experimental films.

Hmm... Yeah, Gerry was one of those frustrating movies where you kept
waiting for something interesting
to happen-- but nothing really
ever did. There is only one
scene that I remember to some degree...
but I remember feeling like I wasted
my time after watching it.

Hey, here's a mysterious question for all of those yahoo email users. What's the deal with all of those random photos of people
that rotate each time you go to yahoomail?
They seem so disconnected.

You liked Elephant? Good for you!

I'm having a hard time interpreting your tone.

I would hardly call Elephant experimental, especially when compared to Gerry. That movie (Gerry. I thought Elephant was pretty good) is so tedious. It's a living hell to watch. Seriously. Elephant is very mainstream when compared to it.

Speaking of Gus Van Blah, I saw an art project this weekend that intercut Psycho and the shot for shot remake. Kind of cool use for a film that was probably the biggest waste of money ever.
