Are you annoyed when the word literally is used to mean figuratively? Austen, Joyce, and Twain have done it -- maybe it's not so bad, you damn prescriptivists.

And to make matters worse, this freaking EDITOR of the OED includes the sentence "Don't write silly-soundingly." I hope he was being ironic (here we go again).
